Support local filmmakers!

"Higher Ground" celebrates climbing culture through the eyes of world-class climbers. The film focuses on their drive to explore, passion for the mountains and the climbing lifestyle.

From big wall first ascents in Utah and winter alpine ascents in the Canadian Rockies to big wall ski descents in coastal British Columbia, "Higher Ground" spotlights some of the continent's most inaccessible terrain and the people who thrive there. Filmmakers Chris Alstrin and Alex Lavigne team up for this production, which takes the viewer on a journey of breath-taking cinematography and provides insight into the climbers and why they choose this way of life.

Location: Armstrong Theatre, inside Armstrong Hall, 14 E. Cache La Poudre St.
Tickets: $10, $10 for students, or $8 with a CC ID; tickets at Worner Campus Center Information Desk, 902 N. Cascade Ave.
This event is open to the general public.
