And the award for deadliest goes to....

Not bears, not sharks, not alligators. What critter kills the most people every year? Outside Magazine says it's the mosquito, which takes out at least 2 million lives around the world every year. Next: snakes, which send between 50,000 and 125,000 to their graves every year, followed by crocodiles and tigers.

The deadliest-acting - bears, sharks and alligators - only kill in the single to low double digits.

Well technically its not the mosquito either. They're just the carriers of the viruses and parasites that do the real damage. And viruses and parasites are critters too. The mosquito's just looking for a simple meal.

However if we're talking about INTENTIONALLY lethal critters, hands down the award goes to humans. THWACK!
