Size doesn't matter

Ski Cooper might be the littlest ski area in Colorado (except for Howelsen Hill, and that's mostly for jumping anyway), but it's still one of my favorites. Cooper tried to open Thanksgiving week, but the weather didn't cooperate, so it closed. The area doesn't make snow, so it's at the mercy of Mother Nature. Well, the old broad came through yesterday and Cooper opens today with 11 inches of new snow and a respectable mid-mountain base of 38 inches. Cooper is open this weekend and next, then opens for the season Dec. 16. Check out www.skicooper.com
