Traffic cops on the slopes?

There are some interesting comments on a Denver Post article about whether additional measures should be taken to try to prevent skiers and snowboarders from dying or getting seriously hurt on the slopes.

Gates to pass through to slow riders?
No grooming near trees?
Mandatory safety classes?
Skills tests?

Check it out and comment below.

This was by far the best:
"The solution is simple. Make those from Texas, California, and the East coast where flourescent orange pants. Then the ski patrol can keep their eye on them."

I once saw some dumb ass out-of-control snowboarder hit a padded snowblower going like 90 on Spring Dipper. They should have given that kid full football pads before they let him on the mountain.

Oh wait, that was me - had bruised ribs for weeks...

It has been categorically determined to have been Schoolmarm.

Simple, we should ban men. It would cut deaths by at least 80%.

Ban them from the slopes or the planet?!?

If they banned anybody in a Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboy or Oakland Raiders Starter (TM) Jacket or that was wearing jeans that would handle the other 20%.

Sometimes you just have to let "nature" clean out the gene pool. The next generation deserves some brains and if you can't inherit them .....
