Off-piste in Austria

Michael Hagen, who we featured in our spread on randonee racing in last week's Out There section, sent a couple pix from his recent trip to Austria, where the children start ski touring before they're out of diapers. The snow's looking pretty decent, eh?

Hear me now and believe me later. The mighty quadriceps of the Out Thaya reporters would crush your little girle-men mountains with their rock-hard pumpitude. Yah.

Yah. We would not need your girlie-men skis and skins and such. We would grab the mountain top with our hands and use our rock-hard biceps to pull it down to us. Yah. And then we would floss with your peaks. Yah.

Austria has best public relations people in the world. They've managed to convince nearly everyone that Beethoven was Austrian and that Hitler was a German.
