Time to open new terrain

Because this is what the lines at Breckenridge looked like last weekend. Too many passses, not enough runs. Fortunately, the weather seems to be cooperating. Breck is reporting 7 inches today, with more on the way. Loveland is reporting 11. The chance of snow continues through Saturday. Make room!

Wow! I thought Crested Butte was bad. How long of wait is in that photo?

About 25 minutes.

I didn't think Crested Butte was ever that bad, except during free skiing and naked week. Of course I haven't been back up that way since it sadly went the way of Telluride part deux.

You know 4 years ago my wife and I looked at a small unit in CB going for $60k, but we passed because the complex didn't allow dogs. A year after the resort sold, that same unit was relisted at $240k.

Sick and wrong.

Unless it's a weekday Breck sucks.

Even with the latest snow today's A-Basin email says less than 25% of the terrain is open.

lift lines...

part of the reality of our ever growing world

what is worse than lift lines?

bumper to bumper traffic on I-70 headed back to the front range

but what do I know?
I am slumming it in the city all the way back east
