Sledding Sunday

(That's my son, Mack, at Meadow Wood Park in Woodland Park last Christmas Eve.)

Out There ran a "sled test" story inside today's section. If you're interested in being part of a local test, let us know!

With snow predicted for tonight and early Saturday, this could be a good sledding weekend. You don't need to be a kid to enjoy a quick run down a good sledding hill.

Here's a list of some of the region's best sledding areas. If you've got a great place you're willing to share, post it in the comments below.

What a difference a year makes, eh? This year that same spot in Meadow Wood is patches of snow and ice and a whole lot of dead grass.

I can see clouds moving in, as I write. Maybe we'll get lucky!!

It's also a well known fact that Abraham Zapruder has sledding film from the grassy knoll on the northwest side of Library Hill, directly facing the jump and the book depository.
