Pale male's nest may have failed
Waiting, waiting, still waiting. But chances are, if the eggs of Pale Male, the New York City red-tailed hawk we've kept tabs on over the spring, haven't hatched by now, they aren't going to. Pale Male's son's clutch hatched a week ago. No one is sure if they eggs in Pale Male's high-rise perch are just a bit behind, or what caused them not to hatch, but things aren't looking good.
