This note from Teresa and Neal at Barr Camp came to us late last week, but conditions probably still apply:
It is currently snowing, and we have a new snow depth of 24” with some areas having more.
When walking through the snow off trail, we could hear it collapse with a loud thud, which could indicate an avalanche danger up higher.
We are very concerned about hikers who try to hike up today and over the weekend; it is a historically a busy and popular time on the trail. We would recommend against hiking up at all until it quits snowing.
