Worst gear of the year

Skiing magazine has a really funny feature called "worst gear of the year" that you won't want to miss. Check out the slideshow here. Our favorite of the least favorites: the Ski Thing, a fabric sling that hooks on your ski boot so you can tuck the tails of your skis in it while you walk to the lift. It's sort of like doing a three-legged race with your skis. This could be useful if you don't want people to stop you to ask for directions. With this thing on, no one will think you're from around here.
