A Carolina state of mind

It's fall, a time when our thoughts turn to...North Carolina. OK, maybe not. But I got an e-mail this morning from "Experience North Carolina," reminding me that their leaf peeping season hasn't even started. The leaves are going fast in Colorado, but I don't think I'm going to be booking a trip to the southeast. Still, the Web site - http://www.visitnc.com/experience_nc.asp (click on fall color) is really cool. Check out the interactive forecaster, that lets you drag a leaf across the state to see peak viewing times. (If you feel the need to visit, the N.C. leaves don't start to change until the first week of October, and the show continues through the first week of November.)
