What I wouldn't give for a long, lonesome highway

Here's a puzzler. A reader who is training for an inline skating marathon wants suggestions for long stretches of pavement without a bunch of intersections. He knows about the Centennial Trail outside Woodland Park, but the stretches where gravel wash onto the pavement are troublesome. Anyone have any ideas for him?
