No glory, just guts
The top 40 teams have crossed the finish line at the 417-mile Primal Quest adventure race. Several others have dropped out or lost a team member so they no longer qualify in the official rankings. But 18 teams are still churning their way toward the finish, tired, probably very blistered, and with no pay off other than being able to say they did it. They've now been going for nine days. They have until tomorrow to reach the end. One wonders how a racer could willingly suffer for so long. I watched the leaders go through some pretty nasty ordeals, but at least they had a cash prize driving them on.
