A dinosaur going extinct

The AP reported today that GM will stop selling the original Hummer:

DETROIT - The 2006 model year will be the last for the Hummer H1, the hulking, gas-guzzling status symbol that has attracted celebrities and off-road enthusiasts but has drawn the ire of environmentalists. General Motors Corp. announced plans Friday for the H1, which is the foundation for the automaker's Hummer brand. Based on the military's Humvee, the about 12,000 put on the road since 1992 defined the Hummer name
I don't know about the rest of you, but my ire is drawn much more by the H2. Not only is it unnecessarily big, but not knowing how to drive, or park, seems to be a pre-requisite of ownership. Maybe it, too, will drive off into history eventually.

Hummers may be gas hogs but they have made a hybrid hummer that is one step closer to a healthier environment and a healthier planet.Plus they shouldnt take out Hummers because of how they can move heavy equipment in the Marines or Army or any other U.S. militiary corperation.

Sincerely, Jonah and Kelsey

Hummers are fricken awesome! The Hummer H1 is the best hummer ever made. You fools; you don't know what you're talking about. The bigger the better.
