I have to admit, I've never pond skimmed, even during my days as a ski bum. But it's that time of year again, when skiers don wacky costumes and try to make it over the mote.Taos Ski Valley's holds its championships closing day, April 6, with an 80 foot pool of ice cold water (best costume earns points).
Vail is holding its "world championships" the next week, with $1,000 cash for the winner.
Anyone who has tips on how to win is encouraged to post them below.
