5280, the official magazine of smug rich people in Denver, surprisingly enough this month has an article on Albert Ellingwood's first ascent of Lizard Head peak. (Those rich subscribers make it one of the only Colorado magazines that pays well enough to attract good writers.) I haven't read the article by Dougald MacDonald, but I have read the original trip report on one of the first technical ascents in Colorado. Read it here.

Teleken, maybe not. But Dave, which part bugs you, "smug" or "rich"? The two aren't necessarily connected. And why aren't you writing for them?
