Still below average
For anyone who hit the slopes this weekend, it was refreshing to have a powder day, and some ski areas in the south really got clobbered. Silverton was hit with 36 inches in 24 hours! Wolf Creek got 31. The fresh blanket of snow will help open a lot of new terrain, but the state is still way behind on snowfall. Even with the 31 inches that fell Saturday, the Associated Press says Wolf Creek is 99 inches below average for the year.
