Three Colorado roads have closed for the season - Trail Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado 82 over Independence Pass (from U.S. Highway 24 to just outside Aspen), and the unpaved section of road over Cottonwood Pass between Buena Vista and Gunnison.
The roads, some of the highest in the state, were closed because of weather and winter-like conditions.
