The first thunder of the year

A fast front moving southeast just swept over downtown, bringing with it the first thunder of spring.

  4. Amen Bill. It's a fantastic thing. Especially if you can catch one at night, when every snowflake reflects the flash and lights like the Sun.

  6. You guys sure? I heard thunder at 9 p.m. last night, but when I looked outside - fireworks. I live about a mile to the Broadmoor and they were doing fireworks for... something or other. It's always a party in my neighborhood.

  7. Ya it was definitely thunder. About 1pm yesterday (Monday). I was outside picking up dog log at the time.

It was a long booming roller up here in Woodland Park. Unmistakable.

  8. Andy, that wasn't fireworks, it was demo day at the Death Star convention they hold every year.

  9. They were bitchin' demos, then. Really, the city's 4th has nothing on the Broadmoor boys.
