Everest season starting as deadly as last year.

More people try to summit Everest every year. The general trend has been more make it, and more die trying. That seems to be continuing this year. The month-long summit season is a week old an already five are dead. Read breaking news on the mountain here.

I may be one of the few that find this not a big deal. The bottom line is this: Climbing Everest carries a bit more risk than sitting in a hammock in your backyard. You should sort of expect that you might not walk out and if you do count your blessings. Same goes for parachuting, strapping yourself on the end of a rocket, jumping the Great Wall of China on a bicycle, eating Pop Rocks and drinking a soda....

Boy when global warming kicks in that mountain's gonna reek. I wonder if anyone keeps a record of how many bodies are up on that peak. Everest should carry a pack-it-in pack-it-out policy. And that should include your buddy's corpse. It's not like these guys are doing anything new here other than turning the sacred peak into a mass grave loaded with mediocre climbers.

Who are these people?! A few years ago, a blind man summited the seven highest peaks in the world. I can't even walk from my bed to the bathroom in the middle of the night without stubbing my toe or running into a wall - and this guy climbs Mount Everest?!

  6. Chocolate should be made on top of everest so it has that brisk mountain air taste.
