I had one, two, THREE freakin' bears in my backyard last summer and the police were like, "So?"

I'm not saying I wanted them to come shoot the things like they would a grazing buffalo, but, based on signs I've seen around the neighborhood, I was under the impression that they kept a list or gave out bear merit badges or something.

Of course, given the lay of the land around El Paso and Platte, this was probably for the bear's protection.
